New Silver Models - Bond Edition

Sony Ericsson announced special silver versions of the K800 (Dual mode UMTS 2100MHZ & GPRS) and K790 (Tri Band EDGE) with 3.2 Megapixel camera, Auto focus, Xenon Flash for lowlight conditions and BestPic. Best pick allows the user to take nine pictures of a moving object simultaneously and choose to keep the best shot.


Casino Royale new Bond film will be released globally on 17 November 2006. Daniel Craig stars as "007" James Bond most lethal agent on Her Majesty's Secret Service. K800 and K790 Cyber-shot camera phones as used by James Bond in the eagerly awaited new Bond movie, Casino Royale. K800 and K790 will be available for a limited period of three months, enable the world’s most famous secret agent to stay on top of the action.

And that’s not all. Phones are also equipped with 3G high-speed data transfer for faster image and other data transfer.

The silver K800 and K790 Cyber-shot phones are equipped with Bond wallpapers, music ring tones and the full video movie trailer. Phones will be available worldwide during Q4 2006.

The Sony Ericsson K790 is a tri-band EDGE phone with a 3.2 Megapixel autofocus camera with 16x digital zoom, and along with the K800, carries the Cyber-shot™ brand. It has the full range of mobile entertainment and business features including impressive music and video players, Memory Stick Micro™ removable storage (up to 1G available), full HTML browser and RSS feed support.

In an industry first, Google's Blogger and Web Search integrate with the camera and the phone's UI to support personal blogging with a preloaded picture blogging application.

The K790 has a 320x240 pixel, QVGA, 262K color display and supports Sony Ericsson's Java™ Platform 7 (JP-7) with a range of JSRs, including Advanced Multimedia Supplements (JSR 234) for enhanced camera and image handling. Mobile Java 3D gaming is supplemented with A/B gaming buttons for landscape mode gaming.

The K790 will be available during Q2 2006.
